The SEE THE FUTURE Fund's 12th Annual Eye Open Recap

A sunny morning greeted 44 golfers at the beautiful and challenging Golf Club at Bear Dance in Larkspur, Colorado on June 11, 2008. Colorado Eye Associate's of Colorado Springs hosted a complementary continental breakfast including pastries, fruit, and coffee to help get the day off to a great start!

The Optic Bear Challenge

The Cooper Vision threesome of Mr. Mark Lindsey, Dr. Eric Wehrenberg, and Dr. Mike Vaske shot a blistering ten under par 62 which edged or defending Optic Bear champions of Dr. Greg Baron, Ms. Pam Hinton, Mr. Thom Bennett & Mr. Troy Rahner who shot a 9 under 63. Congratulations to all teams for some great golf!!

The Optic Cup Shootout

Three foursomes competed for the coveted traveling trophy! Defending Optic Cup champions Dr. Dean Carlson, Dr. Steve Mueller, Mr. Clark Dwyer, and Mr. Ken Gallacher posted a13 under par 59 from the challenging blue tees to set an Eye Open Bear Dance low score record and "capture the cup" once again!

The Colorado Eye Associate's 19th Hole

A "Mediterranean" buffet of Italian Sausage with onions & peppers, pistachio pesto chicken breast, balsamic glazed grilled vegetables and vanilla cheese cake with cherry sauce awaited the players after the challenging rounds. Awards and prizes were presented and a great time was had by all!

Mr. Mark Rossin put on macular degeneration simulators and was "closest to the metamorphopic (wavy) rope" on #8.... . . . winning a $100 "summer @ the movies" pass for his favorite theater!

Mr. Todd Kuhlman peered through Retinitis Pigmentosa simulators and was "closest to the pin on #12". . . . . . winning a $100 gift certificate at the La Margarita @ Pine Creek!
