A beautiful sunny morning greeted 44 golfers at the challenging Golf Club at Bear Dance in Larkspur, Colorado on June 23, 20010. Dr. Greg Baron of Colorado Springs hosted a complementary continental breakfast including pastries, fruit, and coffee to help get the day off to a great start! Thank you to Tony Montoya with Midland Optical for sponsoring the beverage cart and ensuring that none of the golfers went thirsty! Here are the 2010 results:
The
Optic Bear Challenge
The defending Optic Bear champions of Dr. Britt Buckley, Dr. Matthew Chang, Dr. Mark Danzo, and Dr. Dave Lee reclaimed the Bear for another year by shooting a 12 under 60 - great golf! Second place was claimed by the Cooper Vision foursome of Dr. Harv Sylvan, Dr. Jim Simonson, Dr. Hank Rosenthal, and Dr. Doug Kiefer. They shot a solid 9 under 63. Congratulations to all teams for some great golf!!
The Optic Cup
Shootout
A 50 foot putt on #1 ended up being the deciding tiebreaker as two teams shot a 13 under 59. Dr. Dean Carlson, Mr. Clark Dwyer, Mr. Kent Olander, and Mr. Brad Grogg claimed the Cup!. The Pasch Optical team of Mr. Rick Douglas, Mr. Ray Phelps, Mr. Lance Nicks, and Mr. Greg Turner also shot 13 under but had to settle for a 2nd place finish.
The Colorado Eye Associate's 19th Hole
A hearty buffet of hamburgers, bratwurst, seasoned chicken breasts and awesome "brownie bites" awaited the players after their challenging rounds. Awards and prizes were presented and a great time was had by all!
