The Need
Visually impaired and blind students throughout the state of Colorado are faced with unique challenges in life. Many students find it difficult to "see their future". Unfortunately, many end up on federal programs, unable to hold down jobs, or are underemployed.

Mission
To provide financial assistance to visually impaired and blind students who are residents of Colorado. This assistance is used to encourage and support the pursuit of higher education, which will enhance both career and personal success.

Over $957,000 has been awarded to over 164 recipients.

Distribution of Scholarships

Typical STF Distribution of Scholarships is $52,000 (depending on funding and number of applications) per year in the following amounts:

• One $16,000 Scholarship ($2,000 per semester for 8 semesters)

•  Two $12,000 Scholarship ($1,500 per semester for 8 semesters)

•  Three $6,000 Scholarship ($1,500 per semester for 4 semesters)
